2014 GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE CHRIS HOLBROOK EARNS GARY JOHNSON'S ENDORSEMENT AT LIBERTY FEST IN ST. PAUL
September 29, 2014; St. Paul, MN – In April this year, the Libertarian Party of Minnesota nominated and endorsed Chris Holbrook as their 2014 gubernatorial candidate. “I am not a lifetime politician,” said Holbrook, “I am an entrepreneurial working man who knows how to balance a budget and speak up when my rights are wronged. I am socially liberal and fiscally conservative with a plan for Minnesota I call Legalize and Minimize.”
LPMN Executive Director Andy Burns remarked, “Chris is a genuine guy who has boldly stood up to represent freedom for all individuals. His legalize and minimize plan will bring government considerably back down to size, showing how voluntary, free-market solutions can and will make people's lives better."
Governor Gary Johnson agreed yesterday at LibertyFest2014, where at the Amsterdam Hall in St. Paul before a crowd of supporters the former two-term Governor of New Mexico and 2012 Libertarian Party Presidential Nominee announced his official endorsement of Holbrook, “I jumped at the opportunity to be able to come out here and support Chris Holbrook. He’s everything that I would want in a candidate.” Someone from the crowd yelled out “are you officially endorsing any candidates this year?” Governor Johnson answered, “Two for sure, Chris Holbrook and Chris Dock, officially.”
“I wholeheartedly support Chris Holbrook for Governor of the state of Minnesota. I think he’ll do a fantastic job and he’ll make all the difference in the world and he’ll make every one of us proud of him when he goes out on the stump and talks about these key issues in lieu of the Democrats and Republicans who really have nothing to say.” Governor Johnson stated.
Gubernatorial candidate Holbrook responded, “I consider Governor Johnson one of the new founding fathers of freedom in America. He is challenging the status quo in a fight to protect individual liberties for all of us on a national level, a role model for our regional effort. I am honored to accept his endorsement which adds confidence, legitimacy, and energy to my campaign for our Libertarian movement and small government solutions here in Minnesota.”
The Libertarian Party is the 3rd largest and fastest growing political party in the United States, offering a viable alternative to the broken two-party system. The Libertarian Party of Minnesota’s mission is to protect the individual liberties of all Minnesotans, in which lie the solutions to our political problems.
